This yoga and mindfulness series focuses on stress management for both the mind and body. From a physical perspective, this class targets the stress on the body from today’s modern lifestyle. This series focuses on stretching the hips, lower back, hamstring, shoulders, and neck. It also incorporates meditation techniques that will vary from class to class but will include breathing and mindfulness practices taught in a secular format. The format of the class will vary a bit from class to class but students should expect intense stretching sometimes holding stretching postures for minutes at a time. No prior experience is required and beginners are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Participants will need to be able to place pressure on their hands and knees as well as getting up and down off the floor comfortably.
